DC Administrative Assistant

This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical support of department functions and work processes. This position provides direct support that requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information regarding team members in various areas of the Distribution Center.
1. Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines.2. Provide day-to-day administrative support to assigned team or department.3. Receive and route incoming telephone calls; take messages.4. Provide project support to management and processes when assigned.5. Organize, maintain and update specialized records, workbooks, planning tools, reports and files as required.6. Coordinate with various outside service providers and vendors.7. May perform other duties as assigned.
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience
Education: Associates degree in business. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: None.
Other knowledge, skills or abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Proficiency is other Distribution Center software as required.
Working Conditions: Individuals in this position are required to work in a semi climate controlled environment that may be subject to temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment that require detailed hand movements and coordination, possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other conditions associated with warehouse operations. Must be capable of sitting, standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
